For normal in-world experience, I think you'll find that the standard Linden Lab viewer is more than adequate for your purposes. Which one is "best"? That all depends on what you are hoping to use it for and how skilled you (and your machine) are. You can also find alternate viewers available from Linden Lab ( ) and several third party providers ( ). The standard viewer for SL is the one provided by Linden Lab at . Together, your viewer and the servers manage your access to Second Life and control your in-world experience. A viewer is a program, loaded onto your computer, which acts as a local client to connect you to the Linden Lab servers in California. If the problem then re-appears, one of the files you moved back is probably the cause.Your web browser is not a SL viewer. If that avatar's problem has been fixed, move back only those files (chat logs for example) that you wish to retain. The next time you log-in to that avatar's acount, the viewer will create a new avatar specific folder. If you are having problems with only one of your avatars, move or rename that avatar's folder from the SecondLife folder. IM chat logs are named after the avatars with whom the chats occurred. The viewer's Application Support folder contains global settings (such as custom windlights) as well as avatar specific folders containing IM chat logs, window positions and sizes, toolbar configuration, teleport history, etc. If you are having a problem with only one of multiple avatar accounts, there may be an avatar specific setting that's corrupted.
